Campaign Updates. It’s campaign season! We’ll be providing regular campaign updates at every meeting and by email. Here’s what we heard from campaigns and candidates at the WCDC meeting on January 9th.
- Candidates are collecting signatures to qualify for the ballot, as well as seed money and $5 qualifying contributions for campaign financing. Here’s how you can help:

- Rep. Jan Dodge will meet you (vaxxed and masked!) in her driveway in Belfast to get your signature on her ballot petition or to collect contributions to her campaign. Contact her at jan.dodge@yahoo.comor 338-1626 to make arrangements.
- Rep. Jared Golden’s campaign is holding a signature gathering canvassing event on Saturday January 29th from 10 am to 1 pm at Social Capital (28 Spring Street, Belfast ME 04915). Contact Trudy Miller at trudyfoxmiller@gmail.com or 805-708-8163 for more info. There will be a training (hybrid meeting) on January 19th.
- WCDC will be organizing some “Drive-through Democracy” events to help candidates get signatures and qualifying contributions. Stay tuned for more info!
- Robyn Stanicki has declared her candidacy for the Maine House. She lives in Unity and is running in District 38 (Unity, Thorndike, Jackson, Monroe, Knox, Brooks, Swanville, and Waldo). You can email her at rsstanicki@gmail.com.
- Rep. Golden’s campaign has invited Waldo County Democratic Committee members to meet with him at a campaign-sponsored, WCDC-only zoom event on the evening of Wednesday January 26. Details about participating will be emailed to members soon.

MDP Platform. The Maine Dems are reviewing and revising our party platform. Our platform committee representatives Mary Greenier (mainemeg4@gmail.com) and Susan Conard (sgconard@aol.com) welcome your input! Read the current platform: https://www.mainedems.org/platform.
Maine Equal Rights Amendment. The Maine Legislature is considering the Equal Rights Amendment at a hearing on January 11th, and your voice should be heard! You can submit written or oral testimony online. Here’s how:
